Nature vs. Nurture

This is not going to be a long, long post regarding Nature vs. Nurture....but it's the title that kept popping into my head.

Right now, Ian is all about his daddy. He wants to act like Charlie, dress like Charlie, listen to the same music as Charlie, etc. It's a phase...or maybe it will last forever.

Last night as Ian was getting ready for bed I asked him where his I-pod was. He likes to listen to music when he's falling asleep and he has his own MP-3 player. He said "I don't know. I put it away so no one would get it and now I don't know where it is".

THAT IS SO MUCH LIKE CHARLIE.

There are times that I think he's couldn't be more like us if we had given birth to him.

BTW....still haven't found the mp-3 player.

We have that debate 'round these parts ALL the time. And the consensus is that we have a Doug, Jr. on our hands. It's the darndest thing!

I love those moments. They are the children of our hearts and perfect for our families!
I did hide my birthday money one year and didn't find it for about 4 years. I put it in a can and placed it between the curtain rod and the wall. Weird, but it was exciting when I found it!
Hoping it's not 4 years!

James & I often joke about this, but I swear, he went to Vietnam without my knowing....met a nice lady & the rest is history hahaha! really, these boys are so much like him it's crazy sometimes. It's just a God thing...it's His way of reassuring us they are indeed meant to be our children! That's what I believe anyway!

I totally know what you mean. Bennett seems to have so many of our personality traits. He truly was meant to be ours.
